Experience in financing operations granted by public multilateral and international organizations, in financing with and without sovereign guarantee, granted to the Republic of Ecuador, among which the following stand out: The expansion of the national electricity grid, in an operation valued at USD 100 million; the construction of the water supply expansion for the city of Quito in an operation valued at USD 70 million.
Experience in financing operations granted by private international financial institutions to private Ecuadorian companies, among which the following stand out: financing granted to the concessionaire of the potable water and sewage service of Guayaquil in a transaction valued at USD 70 million; financing granted to the first port concession under PPP modality in a transaction valued at over USD 300 million; financing granted to the largest retail company in a transaction valued at over USD 230 million; loan granted to the country’s largest private university in the amount of USD 18 million.
He has also advised renewable energy companies in the two largest projects that have been awarded (photovoltaic and wind), as well as the company that built and maintains the largest wind farm in operation in Ecuador. He also has experience in advising companies that have developed PPP projects in the areas of roads, waste management and energy.
He has extensive experience in M&A transactions related to the mining, energy and telecommunications sectors.
Actively participated in the drafting of several bills, as well as secondary legislation related to the electricity, hydrocarbons and public-private partnerships sectors.
